Adventure Calls Strike out on a four-wheel adventure with a visit to the experimental farming terraces of Morayand the salt mines of Maras. After a quick training session and a safety talk, you will be ready for action. We will take a 2 and a half hour tour on our rugged quad bikes. Along the way, we will e spectacular landscapes, imposing mountains, and snow-capped peaks.
Cusco - Cruzpata Pickup at the hotel in Cusco and transfer to the community of Cruzpata, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas (approximately 45 minute drive). After a quick training session on our all-terrain vehicles and a safety talk from our guides, we will be ready to set off on our adventure.
Moray Archaeological Center The trip begins along an unpaved road which will take us to the path that leads to the Moray Archaeological Complex. This agricultural research center was used by the Incas to experiment with growing crops at different altitudes. After a brief visit, we will continue on our way to the Maras Salt Mines.
Maras Salt Mines Along the way to Maras, we will have fantastic views of the Urubamba mountain range and the snow-capped peaks of Verónica and Chicón. We will stop briefly in the town of Maras for a short walk to view the beautiful main square and colonial church. Upon reaching the salt mines, we will take a bus down to the site for our visit. We will then return to Cruzpata, and from there to our hotels in Cusco.
