Andahuaylillas - Pikillaqta -Tipon

This tour combines majestic natural landscapes with Incan, pre-Incan, and colonial architecture. It includes a visit to the archaeological complex of Tipon, the pre-Incan urban center of Pikillaqta, and the chapel of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas. Along the way, we will have the chance to try traditional food from the area.

Chapel of Andahuaylillas
Pickup at the hotel and transfer to the town of Andahuaylillas, located 40 km (25 miles) south of the city of Cusco. Our first stop is the Chapel of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas because of the quality of its paintings.

Pikillaqta Urban Center

Tipon Archaeological Complex
Finally, we will visit Tipon, an extraordinary Inca archaeological complex renowned for its architecture and hydraulic system. Tipon is notable for the symmetry of its terraces—made from polished stone—and the distribution system that carries water through the archaeological site’s canals to this day.

On the way back to the city of Cusco, we will make a brief stop to enjoy some traditional regional food.
